myLot Discussions| I wish I was traveling right now. Do you? | | I wish I was someplace warm and sunny. I'd love to cruise the Caribbean someday - and this would be a good time to be there I think. It is in the mid to low twenties[Fahrenheit] here. And my father-in-law's funeral is Wednesday morning. I'm surrounded by grieving relatives, which is to be expected, and freezing anytime we go out the door. I can't imagine standing at graveside for the military service.Anyway, I'd really like to be someplace warm, sunny, and happy. What is it like where you are and where would you rather be? Think you'll ever get to go there?
| | It Took Longer Than I Thought... | | But I got it done, my resume that is. I finished it today. Tommorrow I am sending it out with job applications online to a few retail stores at our local mall. I only want to work part-time and then see how I go from there. Wish me luck because I am going to need it. I've done the first part, now all I need is to wait and see when and if I receive an interview/s and then take it from there. Thanks to my friends for your support and encouragement. It has helped me tremendously:) Let the games begin LOL:) | |
| | The time has come to say Good Bye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | | Its only for 2 weeks, got cha didn't I. You all can't get rid of me, I would miss you guys. I am going to California with my mom. We are going to see her brother, my moms health is not so good lately and she can't travel by herself, so I am elected to go with her. I ask you all to pray for no earthquakes. hehe. Here is a nice story about my mom and her brother. My mom always knew she had a brother, her brother never knew he had sisters. His mom and dad divorced when he was young, he thought his dad had died. They share the same dad. My moms dad died when she was young, 5 yrs, old. So with that the family tie was cut off. About 6 yrs. ago my cousin was doing geneology on the internet, she put an inquiry out about some family members. My Uncle saw it and responded. He turned out to be my Uncle that never knew he had other family and my mom was able to find her brother. He is in his upper 80's and my mom is in her upper 60's. They have lots of years to catch up with. My mom has been out to see him 3 other times, this will be the forth time for her and the first time for me. My Uncle and I have got to know each other thru daily emails and several phone calls. I just thought I would... | |

| | I think I'm free! | | Well, it would seem that my inactivity in the realm of overseer has resulted in the removal of authorization in extracurricular activites here! I cannot say that I am displeased with this recent development. It takes a certain caliber of person to daily peruse reports, trying to ignore the whining as you seek out actual reports, take the time to read each one, verify it's authenticity while ensuring it's not just revenge or complaint and take appropriate action as well as look over every photo submitted to determine if they violate a guideline. It is very time consuming when done correctly. Which is funny because those who remain have been very expedient in dispatching justice randomly. I have seen them wipe out multiple discussions quickly, which tells me they didn't have time to even read, just click delete all and whammo! No more problem! The reason, by the way, why I decided to become so inactive. I wanted to separate myself from just that kind of expeditiousness so I could say to you that my name's binnit and I'm not innit! So, for those who would like my help in other ways, please feel free to ask as I love to help folks and now unshackled from the site I can move... | |
| | Hows about a White Russian??? | | So, i'm feeling in the mood to watch this movie again, I had it on vhs and then I had to get it on dvd because I watched it often enough that when I got a dvd player a few years ago, I had to bring this moving with me... Lol... do you ever feel the need to drink white russians while watching the Big Lebowski? I don't always do it that way, but sometimes it just sounds good! | |
| | Can you laugh at yourself? | | I am, if anything, a bit of a clown. But I can also do some things that make people just look at me and shake their heads. I have had quite a few moments that most consider embarassing, but me, being who I am, well, I just break out into laughter at myself.
Now onto a story where I had to laugh at muself or hide forever in a closet.
It was the year 2005, not so long ago and my husband was serving his 2nd tour in Iraq. Knowing that he'd have a room to go to most nights, I made sure he had my laptop with him if for nothing else, but to play some games and enjoy some of his limited downtime. To my pleasant surprise, they did have internet service and every now and then, that little yellow face on the yahoo messenger would light up and I would get to chat with him. He had a webcam with him and when he finally learned to use it, I got my first glimpse of him in 7 months. What a wonderful feeling it was! Well, as we were chatting, he was looking into the camera and asked me, hey can I see the puppies? Ok, let me explain, puppies is his pet name for my boobs, so that is the3 first thing that came to my mind. I said, ohhhhh the puppies, sure you can see the puppies! Why not? He is my...

I am fine all day but when night time comes thats when I start wanting something to snack on.. but then I dont want to grab something that is full of fat and that will make me feel bad before I go to bed.
I started looking online to find idea's fpr foods and snacks and I thought I would share what I found, please feel free to add your tips because I would love to hear them and they could be helpful for others as well..Here are a few healthy snacking ideas:Ants on a log — Spread peanut butter on celery sticks and top with raisins. Banana ice — Peel several very ripe bananas, break them into 1-inch pieces, and freeze the pieces in a sealed plastic bag. Just before serving, whirl the pieces in the blender with a small amount of water or juice. Serve right away. Add berries for a different flavor or top with fruit or nuts. Mini pizzas — Spoon pizza sauce onto half a bagel, English muffin, or mini pita. Top with low-fat mozzarella cheese and your favorite veggies and toast or bake at a low setting until the cheese is melted and the bagel...
